Basic Principles
Universality - we all have them, yes even those people you don't like and don't think should have them.
Indivisibility - none can be violated because the violation of one threats the others
Participation - people have a right to participate in decisions regarding the protection of their rights
Accountability - effective measures must be in place to hold rights violators to account
Transparency - decisions must be made in the open
Non-discrimnation - race, gender and age must not be discriminated against
